Hidden Secret of the Desert Oasis

The sun glows mercilessly on the dusty sand. The cracked tiles of the abandoned motel reflect its glare like malevolent eyes. The building, surrounded by sand dunes, cacti and majestic mountains, looks like a fossilised echo of times long past.

I am here to clean up the hotel, to remove the traces of decay. But the deeper I go into the building, the more sinister the atmosphere becomes. Old runes are revealed beneath the peeling wallpaper, telling a story of forbidden love and tragic accidents.

The wind howls through the empty rooms as if whispering secrets to me, of a primordial hunger sunk into the desert sands. The abandoned pool, filled with murky water, seems to magically attract me, as if to remind me of its past.

I hear voices whispering softly to me, voices of guests who have never really checked out. Their stories hang in the air like veils and I can no longer shake them off.

Am I trapped here, in this hotel surrounded by dark secrets? Or is it possible for me to banish these shadows of the past and turn the Desert Oasis Hotel back into a place of peace and tranquillity?

The Mountain’s Whisper

Setting: A dimly lit room in a gothic mansion.

Characters:

  • E – A man in his early 20s
  • L – A woman in her late 20s

Stage Directions:

The scene opens with E standing in the center of the room, nervously fidgeting. L is sitting on a couch, reading a book.

E: (Clears throat) L, I was wondering…

L: (Looks up from her book) Yes, E?

E: (Hesitates for a moment) Would you take off your shirt?

L puts her book down and stares at E.

L: (Awkwardly) Why?

E: (Blushes) I just think it would be nice.

L: (Stands up) I don’t think so.

E: (Dejected) Oh, okay.

E turns around and walks towards the door.

L: (Calls out to E) E!

E stops and turns around.

L: (Walks up to E) Come here.

E hesitates for a moment, then walks back to L.

L: (Looks up at E) I’m sorry, I was just being silly.

E: (Sighs) It’s okay.

L: (Reaches out and takes E’s hand) I’ll take off my shirt for you.

L smiles at E and pulls him towards her. They kiss.

Meanwhile, in a remote mountain range:

A group of scientists are gathered around a computer screen, staring at the image of a mountain range.

SCIENTIST 1: (Looks up from the screen) It’s moving.

SCIENTIST 2: I can’t believe it.

The scientists continue to watch the screen as the mountains slowly shift their positions.

SCIENTIST 3: What does this mean?

SCIENTIST 1: I don’t know, but it’s not good.

The scientists continue to discuss the mountains, but their voices are drowned out by a loud rumbling sound.

The ground begins to shake, and the scientists can barely stand.

One of the scientists screams, and the others run for cover.

The mountains are now moving much faster, and the ground is shaking violently.

Suddenly, a portal opens up in the sky, and a beam of light shoots down towards the mountain range.

The mountains begin to glow, and the portal closes with a deafening boom.

The scientists watch in horror as the mountains collapse in on themselves.

SCIENTIST 1: (Shakes his head) What have we done?

E: (Looks up at L) Did you feel that?

L: (Nods) Yes. It was like an earthquake.

E: I wonder what happened.

L: I don’t know, but it doesn’t feel good.

E: (Looks around the room) Something’s different.

L: (Looks around the room) I know. It’s like the air is thick with something.

E: (Closes his eyes and takes a deep breath) It smells like… dust.

L: (Opens her eyes) But it’s not just dust. It’s something else.

E: (Opens his eyes and looks at L) What is it?

L: Fear.

E: (Looks around the room) I can feel it.

L: (Closes her eyes and takes a deep breath) It’s everywhere.

E: (Opens his eyes and looks at L) What are we going to do?

The Aliens of Black Rock

The Aliens of Black Rock

I stand on the deserted town square, the wind howling around me, sand whipping my face. The town is a ghost town, its buildings empty and skeletal, the streets echoing with the ghosts of its former inhabitants. I’m tired, hungry, and thirsty, but I know I can’t rest. I have to find a way to get back to my ship and warn the others about the aliens.

I’ve been walking for hours, following the tracks of the aliens. They’re heading towards the mountains, and I’m starting to think they’re leading me into a trap. I’m not sure if I should keep following them, or if I should turn back and try to find another way back to my ship.

I decide to keep going. I’m not sure why, but I feel like I’m close to something important. I just have to keep going, and I’ll eventually find what I’m looking for.

I come to the edge of a cliff, and I see the aliens below. They’re surrounded by a group of cowboys, who are shooting at them with their rifles. The aliens are firing back, but they’re outnumbered and outgunned.

The cowboys are fighting bravely, but they’re starting to fall. I can see the fear in their eyes, and I know they’re not going to last much longer.

I have to do something. I have to help them.

I raise my rifle and start firing at the aliens. I can’t hit them from this distance, but I’m hoping I can scare them off.

The aliens are distracted by my gunfire, and the cowboys take advantage of the opportunity. They start to push the aliens back, and I can see that they’re starting to win.

I keep firing, and I can see the aliens starting to retreat. They’re running towards their ship, which is parked at the bottom of the cliff.

The cowboys are cheering, and I can’t help but smile. We’ve won! We’ve driven the aliens back!

But then I see something that makes my blood run cold. One of the aliens is standing by the ship, and it’s pointing a weapon at me.

I’m frozen in fear. I can’t move, I can’t speak. I’m just waiting for the inevitable.

The alien fires, and the bullet whizzes past my head. I turn and run, but I know I’m not going to get far.

I hear the alien coming after me, and I know I’m doomed.

I close my eyes and wait for the end.

Do the aliens kill me?
