To drink (trinken)
The act of drinking is one of the most basic actions that a person does. We drink water every single day. Some of us drink coffee daily. Some of us drink alcohol daily. Without even knowing it, most people says the word “drink” multiple times per day. I need to drink more coffee. I have not had enough to drink. What would you like to drink with dinner? Will you have a drink with me? The verb “trinken” is a irregular verb (strong) and does not follow the regular rules of German verb conjugation. Therefore, the verbs conjugation needs to be memorized.
