The Last Stand of the Gunfighters

The Last Stand of the Gunfighters

I’m a cowboy, born and raised on the unforgiving plains of Texas. I’ve seen my fair share of trouble, but nothing prepares you for the sight of aliens swarming over the town like locusts.

We were outnumbered, but we weren’t outgunned. We charged forward, guns blazing, and soon the aliens were retreating back to their ship. I thought we had won, but as I stood there, breathing heavily, I saw something that made my blood run cold.

In the distance, I saw a figure emerging from the ship. It was tall and slender, with glowing green eyes and razor-sharp claws. It was the alien leader, and he was coming for us.

I raised my gun, but I knew it was no use. The alien was too fast, too strong. I braced myself for the inevitable, but just as the alien was about to strike, I saw something that made me gasp.

A beam of light shot down from the sky, and the alien leader was engulfed in it. The light pulsed and crackled, and then the alien was gone.

I looked around in confusion, but there was no sign of the alien ship. It had vanished as quickly as it had appeared.

I turned to my fellow cowboys, and we all shared a look of disbelief. What had just happened?

The town was safe, but we were all left with one question:

Was it just a coincidence, or was there something more to this?
