The Cupcake of Corruption

I see the cupcake. A vision of confectionery perfection, its pristine white cake base, soft and delicate, a canvas for a ruby red rose, a confectionary masterpiece. I reach out, my fingers trembling with anticipation, and pluck the rose from its sugary pedestal.

A gasp escapes my lips as the rose explodes into a grotesque parody of its former self. The petals writhe and twist, their crimson hue deepening into a menacing black, their edges razor sharp as thorns. The rose’s transformation is horrifying, a twisted mockery of nature’s beauty.

I feel a sharp sting as the thorns pierce my skin. A venomous liquid seeps into my veins, a cold, numbing sensation that spreads through my body, turning my flesh a sickly shade of green.

I watch in horror as my body mutates, my skin sloughing off, revealing a grotesque, reptilian form. My eyes bulge, my teeth sharpen into fangs, and my hands morph into claw-like appendages.

Am I still human?
