The play’s setting is a gothic castle with a dark, brooding atmosphere. The two characters are a young man and his girlfriend, who is dressed in a tattered black dress.
The young man sits at a grand piano in the castle’s library, his fingers playing a slow, melancholic tune. His girlfriend is sitting across from him, watching him play.
The young man stops playing and turns to his girlfriend.
“Would you like to hear something I wrote?”
The girlfriend nods.
The young man starts to play again. The music is haunting and beautiful, and the young man’s voice is clear and strong. As he sings, the scene becomes increasingly dark and atmospheric.
Suddenly, the music stops abruptly. The young man falls to his knees, clutching his chest.
“What’s wrong?” the girlfriend asks, rushing to his side.
The young man looks up at her, his face pale and drawn.
“I’ve been cursed,” he says.
“What do you mean?”
“I was cursed by a witch who wanted to break up with me. She said that I would never find love again.”
The girlfriend looks at him in disbelief.
“That’s ridiculous,” she says. “I love you.”
The young man shakes his head.
“I’m cursed,” he says again. “I can’t love anyone.”
The girlfriend looks at him sadly.
“I don’t believe you,” she says. “You can’t be cursed.”
The young man looks into her eyes.
“Do you really love me?” he asks.
The girlfriend hesitates for a moment.
“Yes,” she says finally. “I do.”
The young man smiles.
“Then we can break the curse together,” he says.
The girlfriend smiles back.
“What do we have to do?” she asks.
The young man takes a deep breath.
“We have to find the witch who cursed me,” he says. “And we have to kill her.”
The girlfriend looks at him in horror.
“Kill her?” she asks.
The young man nods.
“It’s the only way to break the curse,” he says.
The girlfriend is silent for a moment.
“Are you sure?” she asks.
The young man nods again.
“I’m sure,” he says. “I would do anything for you.”
The girlfriend looks into his eyes.
“Then let’s do this,” she says.
The young man kisses her.
“Thank you,” he says.
The two of them stand up and leave the library.
The scene fades to black.
