The orb was a glowing ball of light, brighter than any star I had ever seen. It was so bright that I had to squint my eyes as it descended towards the mountain. I watched in awe as it got closer, until finally it landed on the peak of the mountain with a thunderous boom.
I was camping with a group of friends in the mountains when we saw the orb. We were all teenagers, and we were excited about the prospect of exploring the mountain and seeing what we could find. But no one was prepared for what happened next.
As soon as the orb landed, a portal opened up in the air above it. The portal was a swirling vortex of blue and green light, and it was filled with a strange, otherworldly energy. Out of the portal came a series of terrifying creatures. They were tall and thin, with long, bony arms and legs. They had pale, wrinkled skin, and their eyes were glowing red.
The creatures hissed and snarled as they emerged from the portal. They looked at us with hunger in their eyes. We were so scared that we didn’t know what to do. We just stood there and watched as the creatures attacked our campsite.
The creatures were stronger than we thought. They were able to overpower us easily. They tore into our tents and attacked us with their claws and teeth. We were screaming and crying as we tried to fight them off.
But there were too many of them, and we were no match for them. One by one, we were bitten or scratched. We were turning into one of them.
I watched in horror as my friends started to change. Their skin turned pale, their eyes turned red, and their bodies became skeletal. They were no longer human beings. They were monsters.
I didn’t want to become one of them. I knew that I had to escape. I had to find a way to close the portal before it was too late.
I ran into the woods, hoping that I could find a way to escape the creatures. I ran for what felt like miles, but the creatures were always on my heels. They were faster than I was, and I could hear them growling and snarling behind me.
I was just about to give up hope when I saw a cave up ahead. I ran towards the cave and dove inside. I closed the entrance behind me just as the creatures caught up to me.
I was safe in the cave, but I knew that I couldn’t stay there forever. I had to find a way to close the portal and free the world from the creatures.
I searched the cave for something that I could use to close the portal. I found a rock that was glowing with an eerie green light. I picked up the rock and held it up to the portal.
The rock pulsed with energy, and the portal started to shrink. The creatures started to scream and thrash around as the portal closed.
Finally, the portal closed completely, and the creatures were trapped on the other side. I was safe.
I had survived the ordeal, but I knew that I would never be the same. I had seen the darkness that was inside of us all, and I knew that it could never be completely erased.
The experience had changed me. I was no longer the carefree teenager that I had once been. I was now a survivor, and I knew that I would never forget the horrors that I had witnessed.
