INT. CAMPSITE – NIGHT
A campfire crackles in the center of a campsite, casting dancing shadows on the surrounding trees. Two scientists, Dr. Sarah Thompson and Dr. Michael Allen, sit beside the fire, sipping hot coffee.
DR. THOMAS
“I can’t believe it. The trees are moving.”
DR. ALLEN
“I know. It’s incredible. We’ve been studying this forest for years, and we’ve never seen anything like it.”
DR. THOMAS
“It’s like they’re alive.”
DR. ALLEN
“I’m not sure if that’s true. But they’re definitely not what we thought they were.”
They fall silent for a moment, contemplating the strange phenomenon. Suddenly, a gust of wind blows through the trees, causing the leaves to rustle and the branches to sway.
DR. THOMAS
“Did you feel that?”
DR. ALLEN
“Yeah. It was like the trees were communicating with each other.”
DR. THOMAS
“I don’t like this. It feels like we’re being watched.”
DR. ALLEN
“Me neither. But we need to keep investigating. We need to find out what’s going on in this forest.”
They gather their things and head back to their tent. As they crawl into their sleeping bags, they can’t shake the feeling that they’re not alone.

EXT. FOREST – DAY
The next morning, Dr. Thomas and Dr. Allen are back in the forest, exploring the area where they saw the trees moving. They come across a clearing, in the center of which there is a large, ancient oak tree.
DR. THOMAS
“This must be the source of the movement.”
DR. ALLEN
“I think you’re right. Let’s take a closer look.”
They approach the tree cautiously. As they get closer, they hear a voice echoing through the forest.
ANCIENT VOICE:
Who dares disturb our slumber?
Dr. Thomas and Dr. Allen freeze in their tracks. The voice is deep and powerful, and it seems to come from all around them.
DR. ALLEN
“Who’s there?”
ANCIENT VOICE:
We are the guardians of this forest. You have trespassed upon our domain, and now you will pay the price.
Suddenly, the trees around them begin to move, their branches reaching out like grasping hands. Dr. Thomas and Dr. Allen try to flee, but they are quickly surrounded.
ANCIENT VOICE:
Your flesh will nourish our roots, and your blood will quench our thirst.
The trees close in, their branches entwining around the two scientists. Dr. Thomas and Dr. Allen scream in terror.

EXT. FOREST – LATER
The forest is silent once again. The trees stand still, their branches reaching towards the sky. There is no sign of Dr. Thomas or Dr. Allen.
ANCIENT VOICE:
Have you learned your lesson? Will you ever disturb our slumber again?
